Expectations From The Transfer Market Today (Ronaldo, N’Golo Kante, Raphinha,Harry Kane...)

In this article we are going to discuss what will be happening in the transfer market today and the situation with players and clubs.

AC Milan

Fikayo Tomori is in talks over a contract extension. The former Chelsea defender is loving life in Italy and could stay for a long time, with his agents negotiating this deal since June.

Arsenal

So far, there’s no concrete interest from Arsenal in Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante or Lille winger Edon Zhegrova. No proposals, no negotiations, despite what you might have read elsewhere.

Lucas Paqueta wants a move to the Premier League amid interest from Arsenal, but Lyon won’t let him leave on the cheap.

Barcelona

Barcelona have improved their bid for Raphinha, who will push to get his move to the Nou Camp.

Barca have informed Cesar Azpilicueta of their desire to sign him this summer, with the experienced defender long being one of the club’s priorities.

Ousmane Dembele is ready to accept a new contract until 2024 despite having to take a pay cut.

There is interest from MLS clubs in Sergio Busquets, whose contract with Barca expires in 2023. For now, he remains a key part of Xavi’s plans.

A full agreement between Barcelona and Sporting Lisbon has been reached for Francisco Trincao. He’ll join for €10m fee with 50% to be paid in one year.

Chelsea

Raheem Sterling has completed his medical after a full agreement over his £45million-plus-add-ons move from Man City.

The Blues will demand a transfer fee from Barcelona for Cesar Azpilicueta, with negotiations yet to take place.

For now, things are not advanced in terms of a possible deal for Sergino Dest to swap the Nou Camp for Stamford Bridge.

Bayern director Hasan Salihamidzic will be in Italy tomorrow to open negotiations with Juventus for Matthijs de Ligt. Chelsea are yet to make a bid for the defender.

DC United

An agreement is in place for Wayne Rooney to become the new manager of the MLS club after leaving Derby County.

Everton

Highly-rated youngster Emilio Lawrence has left Everton, with big six clubs interested in him and Man City the favourites for his signature. A decision on his future is expected soon.

Leeds

Leeds are yet to give Raphinha the green light to join Barca, despite an improved offer coming in. The Brazilian will push for his club to let him move to the Nou Camp.

Manchester City

With Nathan Ake possibly heading to Chelsea, City will sign a new centre-back this summer. Josko Gvardiol is one of the options on their radar, but it’s tricky because RB Leipzig don’t want to let him go.

City still have Brighton left-back Marc Cucurella as their priority target, but are yet to make a formal bid for the Spaniard.

Emilio Lawrence is available after leaving Everton, with Man City the favourites to snap up the 16-year-old Scottish wonderkid.

City have approved Raheem Sterling’s move to Chelsea, and he completed his medical with the Blues yesterday.

Manchester United

A new bid has been made for Lisandro Martinez, but it’s not enough. This deal will cost Man United more than €50million, with talks set to continue. The Ajax defender wants to move to the Premier League.

The mood at United training is good, despite the players being left surprised by the Cristiano Ronaldo situation.

Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham consider Harry Kane untouchable, with no discussions or negotiations happening with Bayern Munich. Daniel Levy, Fabio Paratici, and Antonio Conte will not consider selling their star player this summer, with a new contract to be discussed soon.
